Did this solve your problem? If not, please contact your nearest Daikin representative.

  • > The air conditioner does not operate immediately when dry or cooling operation is activated.
When dry or cooling operation is activated with the auto fan speed setting set to ON, the SMELL PROOF operation starts and removes stagnant odor from the indoor unit before air is discharged. Therefore, the unit does not discharge air immediately after the operation starts. Please wait for about 30 to 40 seconds.

Did this solve your problem? If not, please contact your nearest Daikin representative.

  • > Operation stops unexpectedly. (The operation lamp is on.)
This is not a malfunction of the air conditioner. When the voltage fluctuates largely, operation can stop to protect the air conditioner. Operation restarts automatically in about 3 minutes.

Did this solve your problem? If not, please contact your nearest Daikin representative.

  • > The unit turns on and off repeatedly. (The operation lamp is on.)
When the room temperature reaches the set temperature, the air conditioner operates in breeze mode to prevent excessive cooling or heating. When the room temperature decreases or increases from the set temperature, the breeze mode is cancelled and the air flow volume increases. When the room temperature is stable and remains near the set temperature, the air flow volume may increase and decrease repeatedly.

  • > The fan stops during operation.
Check if the unit is operating without some of the following parts: pre-filter, air discharge grille, dust collecting filter, humidifying filter air, humidifying tray, or water tank. If any of those parts are not installed, the fan may stop operating in order to prevent damage to electrical parts. If any of those parts are not installed, unplug the power cord, install the parts correctly, and then operate the unit.

  • > The air purifier does not increase humidity in the room.
The target humidity may not be reached when the humidity in the room is low, when the wall/floor materials in the room are dry, or when the room is not well-sealed. Check if a heater is operating to warm the room. If the room temperature is increasing due to a heater or other reason, the humidity setting can decrease. Check if the size of the room in which the product is larger than the product is designed for? Check if the humidity setting is set to LOW. Check if the air flow rate (fan) setting is set to LOW. Set the humidity setting (HUM SET) to "CONT" and increase the air flow rate (fan setting).

  • > A hissing sound is produced during operation.
The hissing sound is produced by the Streamer unit during Streamer discharge. The sound may become quieter or changes to a crackling sound, buzzing sound or slurping sound depending on usage conditions. Those sounds do not indicate a malfunction. If the sound disturbs you, try placing the unit at a different location.

  • > Air conditioning operation stops unexpectedly, and filter cleaning operation starts.
(Then, the air conditioning operation restarts.) When the auto filter cleaning setting is ON (default), the air conditioning operation stops after 24 hours of air conditioning operation (cooling mode, dehumidifying mode, heating mode, air purifying mode, or ventilation mode) to activate the automatic filter cleaning operation. After the cleaning operation is complete, the air conditioning operation resumes.

Did this solve your problem? If not, please contact your nearest Daikin representative.

  • > A soft growling or rumbling sound is produced during humidifying operation.
The soft growling or rumbling sound is generated by the rotation of the humidifying filter unit during humidifying operation. If the sound disturbs you, try placing the unit at a different location.

Did this solve your problem? If not, please contact your nearest Daikin representative.

  • > A bubbling sound is produced during humidifying operation.
The bubbling sound may be generated by the supply of water from the water tank to the humidifying tray.

Did this solve your problem? If not, please contact your nearest Daikin representative.

  • > A clicking sound is produced during humidifying operation.

Are the deodorizing filter, humidifying filter and humidifying tray clean? If they are dirty, clean them. Discard residual water from the humidifying tray each time you fill the water tank. When the product is not used for humidifying operation, discard water from the water tank and humidifying tray. Check if the unit was moved from another room. The odor from the product may be the odor of the room where it was used before. Operate the unit for a short period of time.

Did this solve your problem? If not, please contact your nearest Daikin representative.

  • > The unit sputters water from the air outlet.

Check if the unit was tilted before. If the unit is tilted, water may spill. When moving the unit, discard water from the water tank and humidifying tray. Is the cap on the water tank tightened firmly? If the cap is loose, water may leak. Tighten the cap firmly. Check the water scale to see if the humidifying filter has collected a large amount of water. If a large amount of water has been collected on the humidifying filter, water may leak. Clean the humidifying filter.

Check if the lamp brightness setting is set to OFF. If it is set to OFF, the front panel indicator lamp does not light.

Did this solve your problem? If not, please contact your nearest Daikin representative.

  • > The water supply lamp lights.
If water moves around in the humidifying tray, the float moves up and down. This causes the water supply lamp to turn on and off repeatedly. Fill the water tank with water.

Did this solve your problem? If not, please contact your nearest Daikin representative.

  • > The water supply lamp lights even after supplying water.
Is the humidifying tray installed securely? Push the tray all the way into the unit until a clicking sound is produced. Check if water scale has collected water that prevents the float in the humidifying tray from moving freely. Remove water scale with a brush. Check if the float in the humidifying tray is detached. Install the float correctly.

  • > There is an odor in the room, but the dust sensor lamp lights (green).
Was there a strong odor when the power cord was connected to the AC outlet? The product sets the reference sensitivity level of the odor sensor based on the odor detected during the first 1 minute or so after the power cord is connected to AC outlet. Operate the unit until there is no odor in the room, and then stop the operation, unplug the power cord, wait for more than 5 seconds, and then connect the power cord again. This resets the reference sensitivity level of the odor sensor. If the concentration of odor remains consistent regardless of its intensity, the sensor may not detect the odor even if the odor is strong. The sensor may not detect certain odors such as pet odor (other than ammonia smell) and garlic odor. Increase the air flow rate.
